Who will be the 2008 hunter of the year? Congratulations also to Kerry Leverett for his cache of Morgan Dollars and Frank Griffith for his gold ring, a tie for 1st place for find of the year. Hopefully the ground will thaw out and we can get out and loosen up our arms swinging the detectors. Everyone should have received an E-mail concerning SB5205. If you didn't, what it is, is a bill before the state legislature to allow metal detecting in the state parks. This is the same bill, which failed last year. It will fail again this year if we don't all get behind it and support it. We need to flood our legislators with E-mail, cards, letters and phone calls. This would add a lot more territory for us to enjoy, so give it your support.
