Jerry introduced our new member Sean Kelly. Kim gave the treasurers report. Deposits were made $23.00 silver round raffle, $100.00 in dues, $189.00 from detector raffle and $175.00 from hunt fund. Kim paid out $72.53 Christmas party and $123.00 to the vault for coins and $24.60 for stamps. The new balance in the checkbook is $286.86. We will be having two outings plus the Christmas party. Jerry and Helen will put on the two outings plus the Christmas party. If anyone else would like to put on more club outings please let Jerry or Kim know. We discussed Mays hunt. Kim handed out registration forms. Be sure and get your reservations in early for the hunts and camping spots. If you get a donation for the May hunt please give Helen the persons name or place of business plus the address so our club can send them a thank you note. Please bring in pop cans to help defray the cost of the May hunt. Please do not crush the pop cans. Kerry challenged every club member to donate a silver dollar to the club for the May hunt. March 31st membership dues are due for 2008. If you do not pay your dues your name will be dropped from the membership list. Dennis brought in his metal detector a Fisher ZZ5 to show. Dennis also used a power tool case to put his metal detector in. He cut out foam pieces so the metal detector would not move around in the case while being transported. What a great way to protect your metal detector. Dennis will bring in another metal detector for us to see at the March meeting. A motion was made and approved for the club to pay Mike Showalter for our club web site. All members were very pleased about the web site and what a wonderful job Mike does with the web site. We would also like to thank Kim Leverett for the great job he did on the raffle for the metal detector. Dan Autry challenged all members of the club to find all the coins with a buffalo on them and bring them to the next meeting. The coin show will be May 31st and June 1st at the Hampton Inn in Richland. Mike Showalter won first place for his display and Helen Lynn came in second. Silver raffle was won by Joann Thomas and second place Kerry Leverett. Jim Reynolds won the 50/50 drawing.
