Dec 15th, 7:00pm (3rd Tuesday) - S.W.A.T.H. club meeting at the Mid-Columbia library in Kennewick. SEPTEMBER MEETING HIGHLIGHTS The meeting was called to order by Joann. Helen read the minutes. Jerry gave the treasurers report. Joann introduces visitors to our club. Ivan Shaffer and son Tyler, Leo Munoz and Irma Garcia. There will be no more club outings until spring time. Joann thanked Bill Baker, Jerry Lynn, Lyle Thomas and Chris Hulse for donating the prizes for the club outings. Nominations for officers were opened. Joann Thomas was nominated for President, Frank Griffith for Sergeant of Arms. Remember do not nominate someone for an office if you have not asked them if they would accept the nomination. We voted to change the find board. We will vote on one item per category on the finds board. First place will be a silver quarter and second place a silver dime. The changes will start at the January meeting. The Christmas party will be Dec. 5th at 6 o'clock. Ham, rolls, pop, paper plates and silverware will be provided. Please bring a salad or dessert. A gift exchange will take place. Please make the gift around ten dollars, for a man or woman, and please no candy. Jerry Lynn, Helen Lynn, Joann Thomas, Nancy Thomas and Diane Olsen offered to help. Gene Mace said he would like to sing at the Christmas Party. Lyle Thomas talked about changes to the 2010 Mother's Day weekend hunt. Changes to the hunt for 2010 hunt are: Raffle NO GOLD COIN for 1st prize. 1st prize 1 pound silver round. 2nd 1/10oz. gold coin. 3rd 1 gram gold. 4th thru 10th 1 oz. silver rounds. We will print tickets to sell before the hunt. Each member has been volunteered to sell 4 books,$1.00 each or 6 for $5.00. We need to sell 2,000 tickets. Hunt prize donations: Please make them for adults minimum of $5.00 each and new. I am volunteering each member to get at least 3 donations. Silver coins are fine. I would like to have a free hunt on Friday night. Put the claim Jumper on Sunday, and making the cash hunt a Trophy Hunt. CODE OF ETHICS I WILL respect private property and will not treasure hunt without owner's permission. I WILL fill all excavations. I WILL appreciate and protect our heritage of natural resources, wildlife, and private property. I WILL use thoughtfulness, consideration and courtesy at all times. I WILL build fires in designated or safe places only. I WILL leave gates as found. I WILL not destroy property, buildings or what is left of ghost towns and deserted structures. I WILL not tamper with signs, structural facilities or equipment. I WILL not litter.
