MARCH MEETING HIGHLIGHTS President Joanne Thomas called the April meeting to order, Diane Olson read the March meeting minutes and Treasurer Nancy Thomas read the treasurers report. Frank Griffith donated a 1921 silver dollar to annual hunt. Steve churchman read the 2010 annual report. The SWATH 2010 Annual Hunt is May 7th, 8th & 9th. Thanks go out to people whom are helping with the hunt. We have a list of givers who gave to the hunt & what they gave. Frank Griffith was presented a Sergeant of Arms plaque for all his years of doing it so faithfully. Gene Mace was given a vice president plaque. Jerry & Helen Lynn were given a plaque for secretary. Joanne Thomas was given a plaque for being president. The bank account was moved from Secu bank so all monies are now in Sterling bank. We received letters from FMDAC & dues are $5.00 per person. Joanne wanted our feelings on the subject. There was a discussion on the subject and motion was made and seven seconded that we do not send monies towards this. On April 10th the 2nd Saturday at 8a.m. at Denny’s on hwy 395 and Kennewick Ave, we meet for breakfast & go from there to a small hunt, come and join us! The second Saturday in May is canceled. We voted on the finds board and prizes were awarded. Finds board winners are Lyle Thomas =won display raffle. Gene Mace won 2nd on display raffle. Silver half won by Bill Baker and Jim Wilson won also. 5 metal detectors have been donated to our annual hunt! Meeting adjourned by Joanne Thomas, president. The treasure is buried in the city of merchants at a location although small shares its name with a river far away. 2. The location's first name is the same as one of the twelve, and has little to offer for children to play but rise early in the day to find the treasure for it would be in the shade where it can watch the game being played. 3. “The post or pole" is buried around them. 4. East a tree, west a post, north a place to save your soul, you are standing on what you seek most. 5. The city of merchants is the southern most city. The one of the twelve refers to the twelve apostles and the one was the most loved. The last name of the location is the opposite of night! CODE OF ETHICS I WILL respect private property and will not treasure hunt without owner's permission. I WILL fill all excavations. I WILL appreciate and protect our heritage of natural resources, wildlife, and private property. I WILL use thoughtfulness, consideration and courtesy at all times. I WILL build fires in designated or safe places only. I WILL leave gates as found. I WILL not destroy property, buildings or what is left of ghost towns and deserted structures. I WILL not tamper with signs, structural facilities or equipment. I WILL not litter.
